Florida Keys Fishing with Captain Marc
Captain Marc has been fishing the Keys since 1993 and has been a U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain since 1986.He’s an excellent guide to Miami fishing or fishing Islamorada.
At the age of 19, Captain Marc Blackburn captained a 30' Lyman in Lake Ontario for Salmon and Trout fishing. Captain Marc has been fishing Florida waters since he moved to Central Florida in 1989, fishing out of Port Canaveral.
Captain Marc has been fishing the Florida Keys several weeks a year since 1993. In 2000, he purchased the new Kevlacat and moved to the Florida Keys, permanently establishing Dauntless Charters and taking people out on the waters for a true taste of Florida Keys charter fishing.
Captain Marc's fishing knowledge combined with the speed and fishing ability of "Dauntless" has been a proven winner for over three years. In 2002, Marc's daughter Ashley placed 3rd in the local Burdine's Dolphin and Tuna Tournament with a 28lb. bull dolphin. In 2003, Ashley placed 2nd in both the dolphin and tuna divisions becoming the only angler in the tournament to place in both categories.
In 2004, Ashley won the Grand Champion Award for placing first in both tuna and dolphin with a 23-pound blackfin tuna and a dolphin in the junior division. This was the first time an angler was awarded the Grand Champion Award since the tournament began in 1999. Marc Blackburn won the adult division for blackfin tuna."Dauntless" swept 3 out of 4 top places in the tournament with over 70 boats entered. "Dauntless" also took top honors in the Colton Wayne Memorial Kids Fishing Tournament for offshore when Anthony Polizzi brought in a 17- pound yellowfin tuna to win the event. |
